Spring of 2014 has welcomed yet another nature colors to its palette: green, the light and serene version of this inspiriting hue.  And like its pastel confidante, placid blue, this light green offers the same tranquility and familiarity, which makes it a great as a stand alone color and to mix n' match with other colors in the spectrum.

Simply rock matching top n' bottom of this shade, which are totally in the hype must-try looks this season (see 3.1 Phillip Lim, Prabal Gurung, and Calvin Klein) or blend it in with another pastels or neutrals to maintain its tranquil hint (here, here, here, and here

[Color Code: Placid Blue]

February does not always have to be all about the sweet romantic pink.  How about making some room in your closet for this other pastel color called Placid Blue?  Which undoubtedly lives up to its name, as its soft blue hue imparts nothing but tranquility. (agree?)
Moreover, with the spring season approaching, there's no reason to not start embracing this light shade of blue that opens Pantone® Spring 2014 Fashion Color palette, and slowly make your transition into spring.

Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®, suggests that this pastel is very adaptable, as we are so accustomed to seeing it as nature's background.  So, not only that we can see this color stands on its own for its picture-perfect calmness, but also as a neutral that can be creatively mixed with other colors in the spectrum.

Designers, such as the contemporary A.Wang and Barbara Bui to the high fashion Burberry, Marchesa, and Valentino, have also given their approval of this placid color through their Spring/Summer 2014 collections.

What's more with the recent street style of Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion weeks crowds, which shows how the crowds have successfully figured out this blue's clues.

Don a matching placid blue top and bottoms like what Jeanie Lee did and add some matching accessories in the same colors as well.  Or simply put a jacket of this hue over your monochrome articles, like Kate Foley and Eleina Welteroth did.

There's no absolute rule on how to and not to wear this placid hue, so be creative and have fun!

[Color Code: Brava Bordeaux] & [Trendspotter: Monochromatic Bordeaux]

As summer has ended, along comes fall.
What say you of adopting a tad bit darker hue as this season's it color, say "bordeaux"?
Sartorially speaking, this rich wine color (or maroon or burgundy or oxblood or whatever it is suits you) has been spotted high and low from the clothing department to the accessories and beauty department (since the last two seasons If I'm not mistaken).

And...to add more drama and fun,
what say you of incorporating this bold shade in a monochromatic modus-operandi?
Cos' the epitomes of this head-to-toe bordeaux have indeed walked the earth and radiates none but chic
The hint to this head-to-toe bordeaux look is to finish up with neutral accessories, like the non-colors black-gray-white or brown, in order to keep the spotlight on the monochrome.

However, it's never a crime to experiment in fashion.  For you who are still in transition from colorful summer, here's an inspi from Hanneli Mustaparta with her signature burgundy-blue color combi

This bordeaux color is certainly starting to grow on me, gotta stock up on this season must-haves in this shade.  What say you?

Have you embraced your mood for summer yet?
Whether you have or have not (which I'm sure most of you have :)), here's a pop of coral..oops I mean color, that will not fail your spring transition to summer: Peachy Coral

This in-between shade of pastel and neon has soaked its way to summer, as seen decorating Louis Vuitton as well as Suno Resort'13 Collection (Jacobs and Osterweis-Beatty approve!). With its pinkish hue and tangerine hint, it's a perfect color to warm-up to summer. Experience the fun of this color from your head to toe.

Who wouldnt fall for this color? Cos I certainly has!
So, what do you think?

P.S.: Who's up for summer mullet dress, fringe, arm candy and peachy lip&cheeks!?

Yes dear, it's not the time yet to put back juicy hue of orange into the closet, for Fall has kindly welcomed this color to join its 2011 collection.
It's been sweating orange on the runaway: Céline and Burberry Prorsum with their orange version coats, Prada with a little touch of orange gloves, Preen and its asymmetrical orange skirt, and Sonia Rykiel's shade of orange for its beauty corner.
However, to lessen the summer-feel of orange, you might wanna tone down this hue a little bit for Fall. Instead of go all the way orange, you can wear orange as:
1. a statement outerwear; have fun with your orange blazer or coat to light up darker colored piece like little black/white dress or brown tapered pants.

2. a simple one-piece; top it off with a leather jacket!

3. a beauty tint; apply orange lipstick/gloss on your lips, or blush on your cheek for a healthy natural glowing face.

4. a statement accessory; be playful with orange thru' your accessories, pull of a bright orange clutch/tote or a piece of architectural choker (item no.10) to spice up your black jumpsuits

Guess this year fall wont be typically gloomy
